Born in 1983, Mark grew up on the roads of Texas, following his family, staying in any town his father could find work. Countless hours in vehicles, motels, and strange beds left him to spend a lot of time aware of his transience, deconstructing objects and people to discover why they are the way they are. His work is shaped by those fleeting moments that pass us by and the strangers that leave an impression; he is always in pursuit of understanding the world or just another human being. Mark acquired a BFA in Film and Animation production from Rochester Institute of Technology with further film studies and productions in Paris, France and New York, New York. After some globe trotting, he has settled down in San Antonio, Texas to continue his work.
Lynette Aleman is from San Antonio, Texas. Working as a child actor and model she fell in love with the film industry from an early age. She took a break to pursue a college degree in nursing and to work in the pharmaceutical industry but has always been passionate about films. She decided to start studying film making, directing and acting. She is self-taught and has worked on various shorts and music videos as a Producer, Director, Production Manager and Actress. Her experience as a well-seasoned Project Manager has greatly influenced her Producer and Director roles to ensure the vision is accomplished under any deadline. She continues to look for film projects to Produce and Direct.
Aaron Ramos plays the role of Itztli. Aaron is a film/theater/commercial actor from San Antonio, Texas. Aaron has always enjoyed performing and entertaining others, and in 2016, decided to pursue an acting career. Since then, he has been making appearances on both the big and small screens, working hard to develop his skills with each passing day. Aaron's goal is to eventually work as a full time actor while inspiring others, especially the LatinX community to discover their passions and pursue their dreams. He is also a visual artist, model, and fitness enthusiast.
Yolis Osio pays the role of Citlali. Yolis is a Mexican American Actress from San Antonio, TX. She acted in her first play as the role of Chicken Little in Kindergarten and fell in love with acting. Growing up, she continued to be active in her schools' theatre arts programs going on to participate in UIL One Act Play competitions and becoming Drama Club president in High School. Yolis got her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas State University where she majored in Mass Communication - Electronic Media and minored in Theatre Arts. After graduating college, she became a Voice Actress and Producer for the popular kids’ Youtube Channels Totally TV and Aventuras Juguetes in San Diego, California. Now she’s back in San Antonio, and is excited to be a part of the growing SA film community by working on her first feature film ‘Cuerpo’.
Joshua plays the role of Nima. Josh is a Mexican American actor born in 1995 in good ol San Antone, TX. Picked up acting at a very early age but didn’t really get to serious till his last few years of high school. Had his first on screen appearance in a Pizza Patron brand story commercial which only fueled his fire as an actor and made him continue his education in Theatrical studies. Following that, he landed a role in “Queen of the South“ which provided him experience in what it takes to make it as an actor. With a wide variety of interests that includes motor sports, weight training and reading books on positive mental attitude. He has also made a name for himself on all social media platforms.
Ambrose plays the role of Metztli. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1964, Ambrose was definitely destined for a flavorful life with diverse experiences which cultivate his acting on screen. His first gig was "Machete Kills" a Robert Rodriguez production and from there has appeared on USA networks "Queen of the South", also the award-winning film "Blood and Water" by Mr. Alex West. His philosophy on acting is to never lose sight who you are so that you will have something to come back to. Build your character through life experiences and let the character become you and not you become the character. Live in the moment is the mantra that he lives by, learn from the past, prepare for the future, but live in the moment!
Liz plays the role of Anam. Vera is a bilingual actress, artist and poet who has appeared in films, TV Series, commercials, print ads and theater. She made her theatrical debut at the Guadalupe Theater in the play “Chato’s Bridge.” Liz has poems published by Jazz Poets of San Antonio, Voces Cósmicas Chapbook La Pasión, Traficando en la Palabra and Voices de la Luna Magazine. Former Artistic Intern at The Magick Performing Arts Center and is an Artist in Residence at The Magik Performing Arts Center. Vera is a member of Voces Cósmicas.
Michelle Masker plays the role of Ana. Michelle is a professional, hardworking Texas actress. She grew up in the Corpus Christi area where she was first introduced to acting by the wonderful Charlotte Brown. Michelle obtained her Master’s Degree at the University of Texas San Antonio in Social Work. Michelle now dedicates her time to her family, beautiful German Shepherd, Liesl, and her acting career.
Nikos plays the role of Fernando. Born in Beautiful Greece the country where drama was first invented, Nikos was always interested in the arts. Early on he entered the entertainment business as a drummer in a rock n roll band and then worked as a band manager and did a few sound engineer gigs. During a visit to Amsterdam he was approached by an agent who liked his look and she promoted him as a model for fashion shows and photo shoots for advertisement. Coming to USA in the 80s his first job was entertainment manager for a local night club that handled three bands but my main focus became business and family leaving him little time for an artistic outlet. When moving to Texas in 2012, he became involved with various small film projects until he was recruited by Avant Agency in 2014. Since then he has worked as a model for various fashion shows and as an actor working on commercials and films such as Flasburn, Leftovers American Crime, to name a few.
Yvonne plays the role of Maria. Yvonne has appeared in film, television, and theatre productions. She studied at the University of the Incarnate Word, earning an MBA with a minor in Communications. Her family is her priority and a blessing. Yvonne considers it an honor to be afforded the opportunity to use her acting ability to bring a character to life on stage or on screen.
Scott plays the role of Friar Diego. Scott is an actor originally from Kearny, NJ, who in 2008, relocated to Austin, TX. Scott has always enjoyed being in front of people and discovered that acting is a great outlet for this desire. After completing a degree in psychology from Rutgers University, Scott made a career sitting behind a desk. Not being satisfied with that decision, Scott began to take acting classes regularly in Austin. Deciding to make acting his new career, Scott is currently attending his second year at the Tom Todoroff Conservatory in New York City.
Ruben plays the role of Friar Juarez Never did Ruben even consider the possibility of acting on stage or film. It was something that he always assumed would be way outside his reach. It continues to amaze him how fortunate he is to have been a part of the productions, which have given me such wonderful opportunities. He believes it is his understanding that "He is lucky to even be here" that has given him the patience and calm to work in the industry. He is also passionate about the team aspect. Realizing that he is one part of a whole helps him to contribute to the art in a different light.
Rey plays Friar Sierra. Rey was born on September 13, 1964 in San Antonio, TX, USA. He began acting in the mid 90’s while attending grad school in Dallas, TX, mostly in commercials. Cuerpo is his first full length film. He portrays Chef Ortiz in the upcoming web series Gabby’s Hacienda. He has two children, Elena and Ruben.
Itztli has grown up watching his tribe disappear as the Spanish colonists take over his land. Too proud to be allowed to be converted, Itztli sets off to lay claim to his own land his father holds a deed to. But he'll soon discover the roots he protects grow from forbidden ground.
